NewsPoland’s Ambassador visits Shizuoka University (Hamamatsu)


The Polish ambassador, Cyryl KOZACZEWSKI, visited Shizuoka University on 30th October 2013, in order to encourage educational exchanges and research collaboration between Poland and Japan.
Shizuoka University has been an academic partner of Warsaw University of Technology for the last 15 years. With the support of Warsaw’s Prof. Ryszard Jablonski, the two universities have conducted collaborative research as well as co-operating on the doctoral Double Degree Program (DDP). At the meeting with the ambassador, representatives from Shizuoka included Vice President Tadashi Yanagisawa, the Director of the Research Institute of Electronics, Prof. Hidenori Mimura and the Dean of the Graduate School of Science and Technology, Prof. Masaaki Nagatsu. Five research degree students from Poland were also present. The Ambassador was given a tour of a laboratory at the Research Institute of Electronics, which is researching silicon-based single-dopant atom devices.
