Candidates may be required to make autonomous
applications for these scholarships. Overseas students intending
to apply should refer to the "Scholarship Guidance Note for Overseas
Students" which is available at your faculty's overseas students
office. |

| (4) | Japanese Government Scholarship
Students |
 | A. | Grant |
 |  | In order to receive their monthly
allowance,overseas students must go to the overseas students office
of the faculty concerned at the beginning of each month.Should they
be unable to do so,they should make prior arrangements with the
overseas students office of the faculty concerned. |
| B. | Extension of Scholarship Tenure |
 | Japanese Government scholarship students
may apply for an extension of scholarship tenure.Approval of extension
of tenure of scholarship is determined by the Ministry of Education.
All applications may not be approved,so applicants should be prepared
in case they are rejected. When an extension is granted on condition
of entering graduate school,applicants are required to submit their
entrance examination results to the overseas students office of
the faculty concerned as soon as possible. |
