Signing of New MoU with Xi'an Jiaotong University and Visit by Professor Yang
In mid-January 2025, the Faculty of Engineering welcomed Professor Fusheng Yang from the School of Chemical Engineering and Technology at Xi'an Jiaotong University, a newly partnered institution under the Global Faculty Project. This initiative aims to foster international collaboration in education and research.
During his visit, Professor Yang met with the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering to discuss future educational and research exchange activities. The visit also included a signing ceremony to formalise the new inter-departmental exchange agreement.
Professor Yang delivered a special lecture in English, titled ‘Solid Hydrogen Storage Based on Metal Hydrides (MHs): Thermal Effect and Management’, aimed at undergraduate and master’s students. Associate Professor Motozawa from the Department of Mechanical Engineering provided commentary and facilitation for the lecture, which encouraged active engagement and questions from the students.
At the International Exchange Lounge, Professor Yang introduced the educational environment, research initiatives, and industry-academia collaboration activities at Xi'an Jiaotong University, a highly ranked institution in global university rankings. His presentation generated significant interest among attendees.
This agreement establishes a foundation for enhanced educational and research exchanges between the two institutions, paving the way for mutually beneficial outcomes in the years ahead.
