Message from President & Vice President to International Students Awaiting Entry into Japan

Dear all international students awaiting entry into Japan,


It is with great regret that many international students have been waiting to enter Japan due to a new border enforcement measure by the Japanese government to prevent the spread of Omicron COVID-19 variant.

We know many of you are disappointed and feeling anxious about this situation. We deeply respect your continued patience and strong determination to study in Shizuoka University. We will continue to make all preparations for your arrival and new life in Shizuoka.

Shizuoka University will continue to request the Japanese government to ease the border enforcement measure and we are ready to contact you if there are any new changes in the border enforcement measure set by the government.

You are an important member of Shizuoka University. We, all students, academic and administrative staff, are sincerely looking forward to seeing you on campus very soon.
