令和８年度静岡大学秋季学位記授与式を挙行しました

卒業生、修了生の皆さん、おめでとうございます。今後のご活躍を、心より祈念しています。

国際展開を進める静岡県の企業及び自治体と本学が連携し、将来、静岡とアジア諸国の架け橋として活躍が期待される優秀なアジア人留学生及び日本人学生の育成を行う本学独自の取組。県内企業が多く進出する、タイ、インドネシア、ベトナム、インド、ミャンマーを重点地域として、「理工系の専門性に経営学的思考、文系の専門性に理工学的思考をあわせ持ち、広い視野のもとでアジアを中心とする海外で活躍する人材」の育成を目的としている。



Fall 2026 Graduation Ceremony: President’s Address

Today, we have conferred degrees upon a total of 111 graduates from both our Shizuoka and Hamamatsu campuses. It is my great pleasure to celebrate this achievement with you. And on behalf of Shizuoka University, to all of you receiving your bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degrees today, I offer my warmest congratulations.

Joining us at today's ceremony, alongside our Japanese students, are international students from countries across Asia, such as Bangladesh and Vietnam, as well as from Papua New Guinea in the South Pacific and Tanzania in East Africa, representing many countries and regions.

Those of you completing your bachelor's, master's, or doctoral studies have learned and grown together at Shizuoka University, crossing boundaries of nationality, culture, and language, while encouraging and inspiring one another along the way. I imagine each of you have faced your own struggles while on this journey. Our international students, in particular, have overcome many challenges, both academic and personal, while adapting to a new language and new culture far from home. I hold the deepest respect for what you have accomplished.

Your families, friends, along with the faculty and staff who have supported and guided you are, I am certain, celebrating your graduation with equal joy today. Please remember that you could not have reached this milestone without their support.

Among today's graduates, I believe that many of you have studied through the Asia Bridge Program (ABP), an initiative unique to Shizuoka University. Because many companies based in Shizuoka Prefecture operate across various Asian countries, this program was established to cultivate talent capable of bridging local communities and regional businesses. With generous support from a number of partner companies, the university has, through this program, welcomed a wonderfully diverse group of students and built the rich, internationally minded educational and research environment we have today. Those of you who have studied through the ABP have also been a part of the diversity that Shizuoka University has cultivated, and for that, I am deeply grateful.

We now live in an era in which it is genuinely difficult to foresee what lies ahead. Armed conflicts continue across various parts of the world, causing tremendous suffering. Extreme weather and natural disasters, likely intensified by climate change, cast a growing shadow over our daily lives. And technologies such as generative AI, which have advanced with remarkable speed in just the past few years, are poised to transform how we work, how we learn, and indeed the very shape of our society. It is into this world of rapid, unpredictable change that you are about to step.

Yet, even in times like these, I believe there is no reason for pessimism. I find great hope in the fact that young people like you, with your flexible and innovative thinking, will soon become a driving force in our society.

I would like to say a few words about generative AI. Generative AI will continue to evolve, and its role in our daily lives and work will only grow. Tasks centered on simple memorization, routines, and repetitive work will increasingly fall within the domains where AI excels. Because of this, I believe the abilities that will matter most for people in the years ahead are the ability to identify which questions truly matter, the ability to understand diverse values and perspectives and empathize with others, and the ability to think, judge, and act responsibly using one's own words. I hope each of you will not be afraid of AI, but instead use it wisely as a tool, while cherishing the roles that only human beings can fulfill.

To meet the challenges of such a complex and rapidly changing era, expertise in a single field is no longer enough. I believe that what we might call “integrative wisdom” — the ability to view issues from multiple angles by drawing together knowledge from the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences — matters more today than ever before. I hope you will continue to learn throughout your lives, building on your specialized expertise while broadening your perspective and cultivating the ability to see things from many angles.

During your time at Shizuoka University, I believe you have cultivated a broad perspective and a proactive, practice-oriented approach to learning. Wherever your paths may lead, this mindset will surely become the strength that enables you to think for yourselves, act with initiative, and empathize with others as you help shape the future.
From here, each of you will walk your own path in different places across the world. Wherever that place may be, I sincerely hope that you will become a source of light and hope to those around you.

Finally, I would like to remind you that Shizuoka University will always be your alma mater, and we hope to remain connected with you in the years ahead. Please feel free to return and visit us whenever you wish. With all of my heart, I look forward to the day when we can meet again as you make your mark in the world.

令和８年度秋季学位記授与式　学長告辞

本日、浜松キャンパス（静岡キャンパス）で学ばれた111名の卒業生・修了生の皆さんに、学位記を授与させていただくことができました。私はそのことを大変うれしく思っています。皆さん、卒業ならびに修了、誠におめでとうございます。静岡大学を代表して、心よりお祝いを申し上げます。

本日の学位記授与式には、日本人学生はもとより、バングラデシュやベトナムといったアジア諸国、そして、南太平洋のパプアニューギニアや、東アフリカのタンザニアなど、多くの国と地域からの留学生の皆さんも参加しています。

学士、修士、博士のそれぞれの課程を終えて学位を取得された皆さんは、国籍や文化、言語の違いを越えて、静岡大学において共に学び、互いに刺激を与え合いながら成長してこられたことと思います。卒業・修了にあたっては、それぞれに様々なご苦労があったことと拝察します。特に留学生の皆さんは、母国を離れ、言葉や文化の違いに向き合いながら、勉学と生活の両面で多くの困難を乗り越えてこられたことと思います。私はそのことに心からの敬意を表します。

皆さんのご家族や友人・知人、そして皆さんを支え導いてこられた教職員の方々もまた、皆さんの卒業・修了を心から喜んでおられることでしょう。本日、皆さんがそれぞれの学位を得ることができましたのは、これらの方々の支えがあったからだということも、どうか忘れないでいただきたいと思います。

また、本日の卒業生・修了生の中には、静岡大学が独自に展開している「アジアブリッジプログラム（ABP）」で学ばれた方も多いのではないかと思います。静岡県内にはアジア各国に拠点を置く企業が多くあることから、現地の人々と企業とを橋渡しできる人材の育成を目指してこのプログラムは始まりました。多くの企業からのご支援もいただきながら、本学はこのプログラムを通じて多様な学生を迎え入れ、国際色豊かな教育・研究環境を築いてくることができました。このプログラムで学ばれた皆さんもまた、静岡大学が育んできた多様性の一翼を担ってこられたのだと思います。私はそのことに深く感謝を申し上げます。

さて、今、私たちは先を見通すことが難しい、不透明な時代に生きています。世界各地では今なお軍事的な衝突が続き、多くの人々が苦しんでいます。気候変動に起因すると考えられる異常気象や自然災害も、私たちの日常に大きな影を落としています。そして、ここ数年で急速に発展を遂げた生成AIをはじめとする技術は、私たちの働き方や学び方、さらには社会のあり方そのものを大きく変えようとしています。このように、世界が大きく揺れ動き、将来の姿を予測することが難しい時代の中で、皆さんは社会に巣立とうとしています。

しかし、私はこのような時代であっても、決して悲観する必要はないと思っています。なぜなら、皆さんのように若く、柔軟な発想を持つ人々が、これから社会の中核を担っていかれるからです。私はそこに大きな希望を見出しています。

生成AIについて、少し触れておきたいと思います。生成AIは今後さらに進化し、私たちの仕事や生活の多くの場面で活用されていくことでしょう。単純な知識の記憶や、定型的な作業の多くは、AIがこれまで以上に得意とする領域になっていくと思われます。しかし、だからこそ、これからの社会で人間に求められる力は、何が重要な問いであるかを見極める力、多様な価値観や立場を理解し他者と共感する力、そして自らの言葉で考え、判断し、責任を持って行動する力ではないかと思います。皆さんには、AIを恐れるのではなく、それを賢く使いこなす主体として、人間にしか果たせない役割を大切にしていただきたいと願っています。

このような複雑で変化の激しい時代の課題に立ち向かうには、単一の専門知識だけでは十分ではありません。人文社会科学と自然科学など、幅広い知見を組み合わせ、複眼的に物事を捉える「総合知」が、これまで以上に重要になると、私は考えています。皆さんには、これからも学び続ける姿勢を持ち続け、専門性を軸としながらも視野を広げ、物事を多角的に捉える力を養っていっていただきたいと思います。

皆さんは本学において、広い視野を持ち、主体的かつ実践的に学ぶという姿勢を身につけられたことと思います。このような姿勢は、皆さんがこれからどのような社会で生きていくとしても、自ら考え、主体的に行動し、他者と共感しながら未来を切り拓いていく力になるはずです。

これから皆さんは、それぞれ異なる場所で、それぞれの人生を歩んでいかれることと思います。私は、皆さんがどのような場所にあっても、そこに光と希望をもたらす存在になっていただくことを心から期待しています。

最後になりますが、静岡大学は皆さんの母校です。私たちは、これからも皆さんと繋がっていたいと思っています。卒業生・修了生として、ぜひ気軽に静岡大学へ戻ってきてください。皆さんが社会の様々な場所で活躍される姿に、いつかまた出会えることを、心より楽しみにしています。

今一度、皆さん一人一人に心よりお祝いを申し上げるとともに、ご家族ならびに関係の皆様のご健勝とご多幸を祈念し、私からの告辞とさせていただきます。
